Design and Build

•  Appearance: The AirPods Pro 2nd Generation maintains the iconic design of the original AirPods Pro, with a sleek, white, in-ear design featuring silicone ear tips for a secure fit. The charging case is compact and also white, with a slightly updated design that includes a lanyard loop and a speaker for Find My functionality.

•  Fit and Comfort: They come with four sizes of silicone ear tips (XS, S, M, L) to ensure a comfortable and customizable fit. The earbuds are sweat- and water-resistant with an IPX4 rating, making them suitable for workouts and light rain.

Audio and Performance

•  H2 Chip: The AirPods Pro 2nd Generation is powered by Apple’s new H2 chip, which offers improved audio performance, better noise cancellation, and enhanced battery efficiency compared to the H1 chip in the first generation.

•  Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): The 2nd Generation AirPods Pro features up to 2x better noise cancellation than the original model, thanks to the H2 chip and improved microphones. This makes them excellent for blocking out ambient noise in noisy environments like airplanes or busy streets.

•  Transparency Mode: An upgraded Transparency Mode allows users to hear their surroundings while still listening to audio. The new Adaptive Transparency feature dynamically reduces harsh environmental noises (like sirens) while letting other sounds through.

•  Sound Quality: The earbuds deliver richer bass, clearer highs, and a more balanced sound profile compared to the first generation, thanks to a new low-distortion driver and custom amplifier. They also support Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, which creates a 3D audio experience when paired with compatible devices.

•  Microphones: Improved inward-facing microphones enable better call quality and voice pickup, even in windy conditions.

Battery Life

•  Earbuds: Up to 6 hours of listening time with ANC enabled (or 7 hours with ANC off) on a single charge.

•  Charging Case: The case provides up to 30 hours of total listening time with ANC on. The case supports MagSafe, wireless charging, and USB-C charging (the 2023 update to the AirPods Pro 2nd Generation introduced a USB-C port, replacing the Lightning port).

•  Quick Charge: A 5-minute charge provides about 1 hour of listening time.
